1:00 AM – The Trail Cam catches a couple of squirrels on the path. Looks like it could possibly be a Squirrel Courting situation.
Another Goldfinch on the birdbath. They’re still here, even though the Internet says they migrate.
Here’s a female House Finch (or Purple Finch, I’m not sure which), and a couple of Cardinals. (A squirrel tilted the camera early that day. )
1:00 AM – Nice bright male Goldfinch:

1:00 AM – The platform feeder is back on the deck, and the squirrels have been camped out in it. Here’s an enthusiastic eater.
Next, a Brown Thrasher stops by for a snack.
1:00 AM – Goldfinch taking a drink. They’re still here.

1:00 AM – This is the squirrel D chased off the feeder. The action is slowed down for full enjoyment of his panic. Actually, I don’t think he was panicking too much, but he did get away in a hurry.

1:00 AM – Blue Jay looking for the missing platform feeder. He’s not the only bird trying to find it.

1:00 AM – We’ve only had a few ‘daytime’ creatures drink from Mazy’s wallowing pool. Here’s a Dove and a Squirrel. It could be that the pool usually isn’t filled to the brim, as it is in these videos.
Here’s an ordinary Sparrow snacking at the Squirrel Buster. Nothing much happens, but it’s a slow day for bird videos, so here it is.
Mazy trotting down the trail to the watering hole. Sort of trotting.
1:00 AM – Here’s what happened to the mealworm feeder we placed on the rail. Exactly what you’d expect to happen:
The Brown Thrasher has been around the last few days. Actually, he’s here quite often, but not every day, like the Cardinals.
The Goldfinches are still here:
1:00 AM – Late night activity at the pool. A thirsty cat and raccoon.
First image from the new Trail Cam turns out to be one of our ubiquitous squirrels.
1:00 AM – This stray Bluebird is the first we’ve seen in weeks. I think at one time there were two Bluebird families living in the yard, but they’ve moved on. Too bad about the bad camera angle, and poor video quality.
