1:00 AM – A flock of Robins came through, but they were camera-shy, and only a few got in front of the camera:
This might be a Bigfoot sighting, the video is not clear. But something is stalking the yard.

1:00 AM – This is a Pine Warbler.
And this is an immature Robin. It lacks the distinctive white marking around the eye, but I found pictures of young Robins that have the same mottled breast and incomplete eye markings.

1:00 AM – Robin ground feeding. Still not the best quality, but a little better.
Mazy descends the path with regal dignity. More or less. We took the pool out of service for a few days, a big disappointment for her. We’ll restore it today or tomorrow. Wallowing in the water is a close second to eating as her favorite activity.
Squabble between a Wren and, I think, a Finch. These things happen in the bird world.

1:00 AM – A Cardinal drinking.
Various birds ground feeding, including a Wren, a Brown Thrasher and a Robin.
White Breasted Nuthatch and Purple Finch in the Squirrel Buster.

1:00 AM – This Cardinal seems to be ‘whetting’ his beak on the edge of the bird bath. That’s probably not what this is about, but I’m not sure what he’s really doing. Maybe the point of it is to make that scraping sound, as a signal to other birds.
This Carolina Wren is bathing his head, but also seems to beĀ honing his beak on the rim of the bath, like the Cardinal above. Is this new, or has it been going on for a while, and we didn’t notice it?
A Robin at the birdbath, but he’s not drinking or bathing. He seems to be paying attention to something in the yard, possibly a cat.

1:00 AM – More action from the platform feeder. A White Breasted Nuthatch and a Blue Jay:
Since we’re not able to access current videos due to some kind of problem with Arlo, here’s an archive video from November, 2016. This is one of the many we posted via the WordPress media system that disappeared from the website. Now, we’re reposting it.
