1:00 AM – A couple of the ever-present Finches, in this case one large and fluffy, and one small and sleek (kind of).
Busy day on the feeder, starting with a Carolina Chickadee, followed by a Titmouse, then some Purple Finches and more Chickadees.

Busy day on the feeder, starting with a Carolina Chickadee, followed by a Titmouse, then some Purple Finches and more Chickadees.
1:00 AM – Here’s a Raccoon having a snack, courtesy of the birds that kicked seed out of the feeder onto the ground:
More Finch activity:
1:00 AM – Pathetic Chickadee can’t reach the water for a drink out of our new Blue Birdbath.
Here’s a Finch – we seem to get mostly Finches on the feeders these days – eating breakfast and meditation.
1:00 AM – Male Purple Finch on the ‘Tree Feeder’
Chickadee and Cardinal getting a drink at our new Blue Bowl.
1:00 AM – Just a video of a Squirrel drinking.
And another one idling on a rock.
Either a Purple or House Finch.
1:00 AM – A Cardinal drinking.
Various birds ground feeding, including a Wren, a Brown Thrasher and a Robin.
White Breasted Nuthatch and Purple Finch in the Squirrel Buster.
1:00 AM – Here’s Mazy heading down the trail in what looks like a blizzard. But what kind of blizzard? Not snow, of course, but it seems to be insects. Maybe it was rain, but I don’t think so. It’s creepy. No one likes a suffocating insect blizzard.
We have cameras in a new location. The one at theĀ bottom of the tree, aimed at the ground where seed falls from the Squirrelbuster, caught these Cardinals feeding and sharing food.
In this one, Finches seem to have adapted well to the new location of the Squirrelbuster.
1:00 AM – Our Yard Cam was knocked to the ground by a marauding squirrel, knocking the color balance out of whack. Still, these are interesting videos of ground feeding birds, in lovely pink.
Ground Squirrel on the Trail Cam. We’re going to have to move this camera – it’s just too dark at that location.
1:00 AM – Here’s a video from the new location of the Squirrel Buster. This is proof that the Squirrel Buster lives up to its name.
Another Squirrel video, this one of a squirrel checking out the pool, and deciding to pass on the water. It might have been too shallow to comfortably reach, as in the video below.
Finally, a Finch discovers that she can’t reach the water in Mazy’s pool.
1:00 AM – More Trail Cam action, this time a nice looking cat. There was also video of that possum heading down the path, but since it was identical to the one posted a few days ago, I didn’t download it. The possum is a creature of habit, as everyone knows.
Finch, Cardinal and Chickadee on the Squirrel Buster (in it’s old location).
