1:00 AM – Faces of the Platform – a series of close-up videos of patrons of the platform feeder. They are, in order, a Cardinal, Finch, Dove, Wren and Squirrel.

1:00 AM – The Trail Cam catches a couple of squirrels on the path. Looks like it could possibly be a Squirrel Courting situation.
Another Goldfinch on the birdbath. They’re still here, even though the Internet says they migrate.
Here’s a female House Finch (or Purple Finch, I’m not sure which), and a couple of Cardinals. (A squirrel tilted the camera early that day. )

1:00 AM – Possum shows up on the Trail Cam, as well as an unexpected glimpse of a creepy alien invader.
The platform feeder is back, and so are the Cardinals, and the Tufted Titmice.
Monday – 6.25.2018
1:00 AM – Blue Jay looking for the missing platform feeder. He’s not the only bird trying to find it.
Squirrel successfully attacks swinging feeder. Squirrels always win in the end. (Too bad about the poor quality of the video)
Cardinal and Goldfinch briefly share the swinging feeder.

1:00 AM – Hungry Cardinal on the mealworm feeder. We haven’t had the platform feeder up for several days, and I think the Cardinals miss it.
More midnight animal activity – the camera catches another cat lapping up water.
And last, no daily web page would be completely without a bathing dog.

1:00 AM – The last of our videos of the Bluebird that was around a few weeks ago. We haven’t seen him, or any other Bluebird, since then.
Another Mazy-in-the-pool video.
Small critters use the pool too, like Mr. and Mrs. Cardinal.

1:00 AM – The first video from the Bath Cam shows Mazy the dog having a quick wallow. We’ve got high expectations that we’ll get some different creatures with this camera.
Short clip of Mrs. Cardinal on the Squirrel Buster. We’ve discontinued stocking the platform feeder, and the birds are using the others.
The Red-bellied Woodpecker is now a regular visitor to the mealworm feeder. He’s got a really strong looking beak.
Monday – 6.4.2018
1:00 AM – Mrs. Cardinal on the mealworm feeder. At the time the platform feeder was empty, but Cardinals are versatile, particularly if they’r hungry.
One of those Bluebird videos from a few days ago, when this solitary male was around. He seems to be gone now.

1:00 AM – Cardinals sharing. Kind of hard to see, watch them on the rail on the far side of the feeder.
Chickadee on the mealworm feeder pecking out his dinner.
Cardinal and Sparrow peacefully feeding until a Dove comes along. We have too many Doves, but don’t know what to do about it. Like squirrels, we just put up with it.

1:00 AM – D gave all the feeders a good cleaning. Here’s a couple of birds wondering where all the seed went. A few minutes later, D refilled them, and things were back to normal.
Even better, when the feeders were taken away for cleaning, there was a lot of unhappy and confused birds out there.
The Bluebird is still around. In this one, he’s looking for scraps in the empty mealworm feeder.
