1:00 AM – Here’s a hyperactive White Breasted Nuthatch, in a feeding frenzy.

Mrs. Cardinal on the worm feeder:
1:00 AM – We converted the water bowl on the deck to a platforms feeder (it’s intended use). The birds liked it, none so much as the Cardinals. And of course, the Squirrels.
For some reason this Raccoon wasn’t impressed with the new set up. Maybe the feed mix wasn’t to his liking. He didn’t have much luck with the Squirrel Buster feeder.
1:00 AM – Mr. Cardinal having a leisurely meal.
From a few days ago when we let the water bowl get dry.
1:00 AM – Mr. Cardinal is a dainty sipper.
Another selfish Finch – there are plenty of them around.
1:00 AM – Is it just my imagination, or is Mr. Raccoon putting on weight.
Another video of Mrs. Cardinal bathing. We see her in the bath a lot more than Mr. Cardinal.
1:00 AM – Cardinal and Finch dancing around the feeder:
The One Eared Squirrel is very skittish. That’s probably good for his chances of survival.
1:00 AM – Typical feeding time at the Squirrel Buster:
Finch bathing;
1:00 AM – We’re seeing some Rose Breasted Grosbeaks around the yard. The brownish yellow ones, with plenty of stripes, are females. The ones with black patches on their wings, and slightly rosy breasts, are immature males. We haven’t seen any adult males yet. It’s easy to recognize them, due to the vivid, distinct coloring.
Busy time at the feeder. The visitors include Carolina Chickadees, Tufted Titmouse, Cardinal, White Breasted Nuthatch and probably more that I missed.
1:00 AM – White Breasted Nuthatch coming and going.
Cardinal and Dove feeding on scraps under the hanging feeder.
1:00 AM – That bathing Cardinal is back. She’s one of the most vigorous bathers in the flock.
I don’t know how many Raccoons we have. This one looks smaller than the others we’ve captured on video:
