1:00 AM – The new setup we have on the deck rail is very popular with the birds. Here’s a couple of Tufted Titmice, and various other birds.
A Dark-eyed Junco showed up. We haven’t seen those for a while.
1:00 AM – Brown Thrasher manages an underwater meal. Then we have the Chickadee and ever-present Cardinal.
Here’s a Dove and Cardinal sharing the platform feeder. We put the green mesh one up again – the birds seem to prefer it.
1:00 AM – Carolina Wren on the mealworm feeder, plus some kind of noisy bird in the background.

1:00 AM – It’s been raining for a few days now, and all the seed is wet. That’s not stopping Mrs. Cardinal.
The Blue Bowl is filled with water instead of seed after the rain. A Purple Finch and a Cardinal show up to take a look. Then a brief appearance by a Downy Woodpecker.
1:00 AM – Here we have three birds at the Mealworm Feeder, starting with a Eastern Phoebe, then a Cardinal and finally a rarely seen Brown Headed Nuthatch.
Downy Woodpeckers are an unusual sight at this feeder. They’re always welcome, of course.
1:00 AM – Cardinal and Brown Thrasher at the Blue Bowl:
Pine Warbler on the cylinder feeder. This is one of the somewhat drab females.
1:00 AM – Lots of rain yesterday, and the blue bowl feeder doesn’t drain like the other platform feeder we have. So, we had delicious birdseed out of reach, underwater. Here’s a Cardinal who managed to get one seed, but seemed a little miffed about the whole situation.
