1:00 AM – We’ve got to move the Squirrel Buster feeder away from the rail. The clever squirrels have got it figured out.
We’re glad the Brown Thrashers are still around:

1:00 AM – These backyard birds have been hanging around the same feeders for so long the different species don’t mind eating right next to each other.
The Brown Thrasher, one of our favorites.
Squirrel rooting among the seeds. There are more (and bolder) squirrels these days. They barely scamper away when we come out on the porch.

1:00 AM – Brown Thrasher and Blue Jay complaining because there are no peanuts on the ledge. These birds are getting too big for they’re bird britches.
Squirrel dinner is interrupted by something.
How many peanuts can one Jay eat? I counted seven.

1:00 AM – We see more Blue Jays recently, probably due to the peanuts.
This is a slow motion video of a Cardinal attacking a Titmouse. My favorite part is after the incident, when the Cardinal struts around, daring the Titmouse to come back.

1:00 AM – Here’s more video of the flock of Pine Warblers, and other birds. All of them give way when the Brown Thrasher shows up.
Video from the ‘Feeder Board’.
