1:00 AM – Life as a Blue Jay:
Doves, along with Squirrels, are our most frequent platform feeders.
More Squirrel antics:
1:00 AM – Here’s an unfortunate Squirrel with only half a tail. We speculate that a cat got hold of him, but he managed to get away.
Here’s a nice looking Towhee having lunch:
A Blue Jay and a Cardinal:
1:00 AM – Something took a run at this Blue Jay. The video is in slow motion but whatever it was is not identifiable. Making it a UFO (Unidentified Flying Object)
Either something was threatening this Dove, or he was just airing himself out.
Just a video of the Eastern Towhee (now a regular visitor) having a snack.
1:00 AM – Plenty of Blue Jays still around:
One of our favorites:
Cardinal talking to the other birds while he eats.
1:00 AM – Carolina Wren and Mr. Cardinal at the platform feeder:
The birds are getting along better, probably because they know each other – like patrons at a local diner – and know there’s plenty of food to go around.
More of one of the Blue Jays eating. We’re sure seeing a lot of these birds, after a long absence.
1:00 AM – A couple of birds pecking – a Towhee and Carolina Wren. The Wren goes right for the camera for some reason.
Blue Jay rooting around in the seed shells. By the time this video was taken, most of the seeds had been devoured by Cardinals, Doves, Squirrels and other greedy creatures.
1:00 AM – Eastern Towhee and Cardinal:
Blue Jay cracking open seeds:
Another squirrel video:
1:00 AM – More video of Cardinals sharing food. No telling how many of these birds we have now.
No doubt we have many more Squirrels than Cardinals:
Blue Jay in the platform feeder pecking:
1:00 AM – Cardinals are here every day all day, so we have lots of Cardinal videos. Here’s one:
Lots of Blue Jays, too. Here’s one picking through the seeds in the platform feeder, probably looking for peanuts.
And more video of Mr. and Mrs. Cardinal sharing food, always a heart-warming sight.
